Video Podcast Service
Can you tell me a little bit about yourself and your business?
I’m George, the founder of Cut The Pod, a boutique video podcast service that helps brands elevate their presence with highly professional, branded video podcasts. I work with businesses ready to move beyond DIY audio or video solutions and step into polished, pro-level podcasting. Drawing on my experience collaborating with industry giants like Disney, Meta, and the NFL, I specialize in transforming raw recordings into world-class productions. Beyond just podcasts, I create strategic social clips to amplify reach and engagement, helping brands build trust, establish authority, and drive revenue. In short, I don’t just produce podcasts—I help brands grow their influence through the power of storytelling and sharp, impactful visuals.
What was your main inspiration for getting into this niche?
After spending over 12 years with iconic brands such as Disney, Meta, Nickelodeon, CNN, and the NFL—not to mention having the privilege of working with Anthony Bourdain—I faced a big life shift: I became a parent. Suddenly, those 10+ hour workdays weren’t an option. Reflecting on my career, I realized how much I enjoyed working on projects that combined storytelling, strategy, and creativity. Video podcasts were the perfect blend of all those elements. By focusing on this niche, I could leverage my expertise to help others grow their brands while creating a more sustainable work-life balance for myself.
How do you define success in your business?
What I love most is when I see those that I’m working with realise their brand is so powerful, but they were just spread too thin trying to do it all themselves. With my work, they see their brand become stronger, sales come in through podcast clips, and YouTube channels grow. One client recently saw their YouTube grow 1,800% (that is not a typo). I love playing a role in their brand’s visual reach and making sure we create content efficiently to help clients accomplish their goals.
If you were to start again from scratch, what would you do differently?
If I could go back, I’d give myself permission to experiment more and chase curiosity without the pressure of getting everything perfect from day one. Early on, I was too focused on creating flawless work, which sometimes stifled my ability to test ideas and iterate. The truth is, those early stages are where you find your footing, your strengths, and your voice. Embracing that messiness is part of the process—and honestly, part of the fun.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out with a similar gig?
Build relationships with people who are further along in their journey. It’s one of the most effective ways to grow. Take time to connect with mentors, peers, and industry leaders—whether over lunch, through meaningful conversations, or by observing how they approach their craft. Ask questions (lots of them!), listen intently, and nurture those connections. Nearly every big opportunity I’ve had came from relationships, not from grinding alone into the night. Surrounding yourself with people who inspire you is invaluable.
